Will tile on risers of stairs increase home value?

I think that adding ceramic, granite or any tile on the riser of a staircase looks great. What I am wondering is if it would increase the value of my cookie cutter bi-level home to do so, or if it is a waste of time and money? We are planning on putting on the market next March.
